Launched in Lowestoft in 1961, Mincarlo spent her working life first as a North Sea fishing trawler and later as a rig standby vessel (Later known as Putford Merlin). Today she is preserved in her home town, where she remains a remarkable reminder of Lowestoft's fishing, shipbuilding and engineering heritage.

Mincarlo is particularly special for another reason she is the last surviving Lowestoft-built fishing vessel with her original Lowestoft built A.K. Diesels engine, making her a unique survivor of the town's maritime industrial history.
